State watch
The glory and aura attached to the Indian Civil Services is quite appealing. But the experience of all service cadres is not as heartening. This is to juxtapose the growing communication and information needs of a developing country like India which is yet to make a mark on international stage. The disappointing fact is that burgeoning communication of the Central Government with Indian States and members of the international community is currently looked after by a meagre 475 number of IIS officers only ...

Protectors of secularism are giving communal colour to Gopalgarh massacre: Shahnawaz Hussain
The Congress Party is preparing and projecting its poster boy, Rahul Gandhi, as its next Prime Ministerial candidate for the 2014 general election. Senior Congress leaders and party workers at the ground level believe that Rahul's clean secular image will help the party to gain on caste and community vote equations in the upcoming State Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. However, the political situation seems to be taking a surprising turn to haunt the Congress yet again. Gaps in the framework
In this season of political mal-content, what gets in adequate at-tention is the fact that there are huge gaps in the power structure of the Government at the moment.
